Why Are Some Third-Party AppStores A Little Dishonest?

By | February 27, 2020

As I mentioned in my previous blog(Apple Is Blocking Third-party AppStore!), the survival of the third party Appstore is getting more and more difficult, but it can not be the reason for some third-party Appstore lie to their users, for example:

“APPS WITHOUT REVOKES”! Can you not cheat people like this? Apart from the apps downloaded from the official AppStore, everything is possible to be revoked. It’s so disgusting “WE ARE THE FUTURE OF THIRD-PARTY APP STORES”!How can you have such confidence? Aren’t you a VIP service? As like as two peas, Pandahelp Vip, TuTuVip, BuildStore, ipawind, ipaStore, they are all the same, they are all paid services, and the technology they use is the same as VIP.

“XXX NEXT, Revokeless apps” Although your propaganda is not as disgusting as the one above, you still hide something from people. You have cooperated with BuildStore to create the “VIP” service. Although we don’t know what this “NEXT” is doing for the moment, no matter what, there are only a few ways to install the Apple App. There won’t be any magical way to be found by you. Otherwise, Tim Cook will step down. HAHA.

Based on the above, so I will tell you a few ways to install Apple apps in detail. Before that, we would like to say that free and paid is a topic we will never get around.

  • Official AppStore. There’s no need to talk about it.
  • Jailbreak Your Device. When your device have been jailbreaked, there will be no restrictions, and we will not discuss this way.
  • Enterprice Certificate. When these third-party appstores get such certificates, they can start signing a lot of applications, and there is no limit to the number of applications. People can install such apps simply. After the installation, they only need to trust related settings to use them normally. This is the way most free third-party appstores use at present. However, there are some disadvantages: it is easy for apple to revoke the enterprise certificate, which can no longer be used after revocation; now the purchase cost of enterprise certificate is also increasing, which makes many third-party appstores unsustainable.
  • Those VIP Services. Different from the above enterprise certificate, this is a technology that relies on the individual / enterprise developer account. An individual / enterprise developer account costs $99 per year. Only 100 devices (i.e. 100 UDIDs, For those who have already purchased relevant VIP services, let’s see your purchase price!) can be added. Moreover, when a new application needs to be signed, the relevant authorization files need to be regenerated. The process is far more cumbersome than the above enterprise certificate. Unfortunately, Apple has also noticed the abuse of development certificates, Occasionally, the VIP service will be revoked.
  • TestFlight Mode. At present, no third-party Appstore has adopted this method, but it is more troublesome and expensive than VIP service. If this happens in the future, I’ll explain it to you.
  • Use A Computer. There some services you can install apple apps, but you must have a computer and need to install a computer application fistly. In this way, the installed apps will not be revoked, but they can’t install the Tweak Apps. Only the apps that have been put on the official AppStore can be installed. Some services say that they can install Tweet Apps. In fact, they are individual free developer accounts with a 7-day service life.

So, people should know what they really want! No Jailbreaked、No Paid、No Computer, only the Enterprice Certificate can be used!

Don’t be fooled by your favorite third-party Appstore. Recognize the facts and choose the services you need rationally! Have a nice day!

Hi! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any problems with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing
several weeks of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any methods to stop hackers?

Very nice article! I agree that people should not have to pay! I also believe that some people have enough apps on their phones to justify the cost of VIP. For example, they may pay $15 for a year, but they end up getting $100 worth of apps. Some people see that as a good deal, but I personally think that FREE is a better deal.

“People shouldn’t have to pay” Um, doesn’t it cost money to add a device to VIP?
