Apple Is Blocking Third-party AppStore!

By | February 8, 2020

For those who often download apps in the third-party app store, they may find that apps installed from these places will exit immediately every time when they’re opened. Through the test, we find that the apple enterprise certificate used for signing has not been revoked. Why?

This situation happens suddenly after people upgrade IOS system to IOS 13.3.1. Then, most of IOS 13.3, IOS 13.2 and other IOS 13 and above systems begin to encounter this situation. Even after a new enterprise certificate is changed, this situation still hasn’t improved. Some third-party appstores have warned this situation, but some third-party appstores have kept silent and even ignored, such as pandahelp and iosinja.

AppCake predicts that this will be the end of the third-party appstore
Cokernutx advises people to downgrade IOS or reset iPhone and try to install it again

But no matter what, users above IOS 13 will still encounter the problem of crash, but users below IOS 13 are normal. Maybe Apple has made some changes in this aspect in IOS 13 system, is it really intended to block these third-party app stores?

Now, some people suggest switching to Android camp, some suggest escaping jailbreak, some suggest degrading IOS system, some wait for updating to ios14 to see if the situation improves…

In this way, our users are the ultimate victims. What should we do?

In the author’s opinion, I don’t think Apple will absolutely kill these third-party app stores, because in the final analysis, the existence of these third-party app stores is entirely based on Apple’s formal process of signing applications for corporate certificates. If Apple changes this process at will, it will inevitably affect the use of those normal enterprises, and Apple will not ignore the consequences.

In addition, just like IOS jailbreak, apple boycotted or even opposed it from the beginning, but over the years, IOS jailbreak community is still very active and more prosperous, so I will not look down on the third-party app store industry. As for the Android, although it can solve the problem of application installation, Android’s application ecology is very chaotic, and all kinds of security problems are more serious than IOS. Therefore, I suggest you to be patient for a while!

“Android’s application ecology is very chaotic, and all kinds of security problems are more serious than IOS.” Not as many as you’d think. You are lumping the Android operating system, which is open source and is on a LOT of different kinds of devices, with iOS, which is closed source. Anyone can make a phone that runs Android, that doesn’t mean that it’s less secure.

Fantastic post however I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject?
I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit further.
    Bless you!

All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.
